The Intentionally Great School

Our aim is to create independent learners who are self-starters, critical and outside-the-box thinkers, creative and eager learners, well-rounded and diverse, and with a love Christ and
others.

Our Approach

We use a mixture of teaching methods from well-documented successful schools along with The Critical Thinking Co. curriculum to achieve our holistic approach.

We hold the view that children as young as three possess the capacity for problem-solving, enabling them to navigate both social and academic challenges when they are supported and given opportunities. We are convinced that when children receive adequate time and encouragement to explore and resolve issues independently, paired with the guidance of
attentive educators, they begin to recognize the strength of their own intellect. This realization opens a world of endless possibilities for them.

This approach greatly enhances their creativity and social skills, which are essential for their development. We firmly believe that play and games
are vital learning tools for children of all ages. Beyond the foundational skills in math, reading, and writing, our future leaders engage in games, challenges, and adventures that encourage creativity, instill a curiosity to explore, and inspire them to ask questions and seek knowledge.

Numerous studies indicate that
children learn most effectively through play.

Wonder Wednesdays

We believe that science is better understood when experienced and appreciated when it is seen
as God’s hand at work. This is why we focus on bringing science to life in our Wonder
Wednesdays where our students experience science class in the community. We believe in the
importance of keeping school exciting and giving our future leaders a constant sense of wonder.
We achieve this by visiting forests, farms, museums, parks, markets, local businesses, etc
every Wednesday. During these visits, our future leaders engage in hands-on science activities
such as identifying plant species, understanding the principles of farming, exploring the laws of
physics in action, and more, allowing them to learn science firsthand by doing.

Tools for Learning & Beliefs

The Critical Thinking Company distinguishes itself by its rigorous approach to education,
emphasizing analytical skills, reasoning, and logic across all subjects. This all-encompassing
focus is designed to prepare students not just for academic success but for lifelong learning and
problem-solving.

This comprehensive approach is backed by an increasing amount of research highlighting the
detrimental effects of technology on the human brain, particularly in children. Consequently, we
restrict technology use to just a few hours each week, emphasizing hands-on learning
experiences that foster greater engagement and enthusiasm among our students.

A notable feature of our educational institution is our commitment to balancing all facets of a
child’s development. We deliberately avoid overwhelming students with homework after a full
day of classes, ensuring that our daily academic program remains both rigorous and immersive
without the need for additional assignments. We encourage parents to utilize time at home with
their children in meaningful ways—through engaging activities, household responsibilities,
reading sessions, and shared mealtimes—strengthening family connections that are often
missing in today’s fast-paced society.
