Your child will demonstrate how to recognize letters of the alphabet and the sounds they make, sound out simple words, and read short sentences. Increase reading comprehension to promote confidence in reading.
MathYour child will demonstrate helpful outlooks towards problem solving. Learn how to identify and describe shapes. Represent, relate, and operate whole numbers. Clearly express, explain, organize and consolidate their math thinking using both verbal and
written representations.
Class Structure
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm to 6pm your child will receive:

Tutor-led activities and direct instruction in letter recognition, beginning phonics, and the sight words needed for early reading.

Activities that will promote confidence in reading and math thinking skills.

Concepts that provide the foundation for understanding basic mathematics.

Activities in subtraction, symmetry, inequalities, fractions, and graphing.

Students explore 3D shapes, gain an understanding of capacity and volume, and expand their skills with time and money.

4:00pm-4:30pm Teacher-led classroom instruction
4:30pm-5:00pm Independent Learning/Quiet activities
5:00pm-5:10pm Snack
5:10pm-5:40pm Teacher Student games
5:40pm-6:00pm Teacher Student hands on activities.
